Winter is just around the corner and everyone will be getting ready for Christmas and getting together with friends and family even our service personnel away from home will be getting parcels and cards from friends and family, what have the forgotten heroes, the ex service personnel living on the streets got to look forward too? Think of it when you're with your friends and family around the table with your Christmas dinner and all the trimmings there will be many ex service personnel out there with no one and all on their own with no friends no family no Christmas dinner nothing except a bit of luck that it is not a white Christmas that everyone else in their nice cosy homes are wishing for.

Do not get us wrong there are a lot of very good people and organisations out there that will feed a lot of homeless over Christmas mainly in the city's but there will be a lot of homeless that will slip through the net that will have nothing at all. We are not saying we can help them all we cannot, but with your help we can help anyone we find have just a little bit more then they would have had.

Anyone that is found will not just have a little bit of compassion for Christmas we will be taking their details and trying to get them shelter for after Christmas so we can work on getting them a home of their own.

If you would like to help us help the forgotten living on the streets this Christmas here is some ways you can help:

Make a donation. There is no one within Soldiers off the street receiving any wage whatsoever. 100% of all donations go into the running of Soldiers off the street.

Remember the shoe box appeal why not make up a shoe box and give it to someone living on the street or if you find someone buy them a hot drink and a meal you could be saving someone's life with just a small gift. To you it is only a shoe box of everyday items to a homeless person it would mean so much.

If you have some warm clothing, Blankets or sleeping bag and you know where homeless are sleeping why not give them out yourself every little helps in the winter months.

In our facebook group we have many members from around the world and the problems the United Kingdom have with so many ex service personnel living on the streets is your problem in your own country so why not do the same this Christmas with a shoe box or warm clothing, Blankets or sleeping bag, they give their all for your country so please do what you can to help them in their time of need.
